Job Description

Role Summary This position involves managing and overseeing the full lifecycle of high-value construction contracts related to major power and natural gas infrastructure projects. It requires a seasoned professional capable of leading negotiations, ensuring contractual compliance, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to support large-scale energy construction initiatives. The role emphasizes strategic contract analysis, risk management, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners to meet project objectives. Responsibilities Lead the development, drafting, negotiation, and finalization of complex construction contracts, amendments, and agreements with vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Analyze contract terms to identify risks, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and align with project goals, recommending strategies to mitigate potential issues. Collaborate closely with legal counsel to facilitate efficient contract negotiations and expedite contract execution processes. Monitor ongoing contract performance, track project deliverables, manage change orders, and address disputes promptly. Conduct contract audits and implement corrective actions to maintain contractual integrity and project progress. Prepare and deliver executive reports, summaries, and presentations that detail contract status, project risks, costs, and key milestones for senior leadership. Support procurement activities, vendor evaluations, and post-award administration in close partnership with project teams, legal, engineering, and finance departments. Oversee insurance endorsements, billing practices, fiscal projections, and regulatory compliance pertaining to construction agreements. Provide expert guidance on complex procurement strategies such as design-build and EPC contracts, applying best practices within the energy sector. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legal developments impacting large-scale energy infrastructure projects. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees (e.g., CPCM, NCMA) are preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in contract management and analysis, with at least 3-5 years in energy, oil/gas, or large construction projects. Proven success managing high-visibility contracts involving executive-level stakeholders. Strong financial acumen to assess contract cash flows, risks, and mitigation strategies. Hands-on experience drafting, negotiating, and executing EPC and large-scale "Mega Projects" contracts. Excellent negotiation skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure. Effective communication skills suitable for executive briefings and cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency in contract management software, MS Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
Publishing Pay Range:
$57.00 - $60.00 hourly This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
