Overview We are seeking a dynamic Contract Specialist to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and negotiate a wide range of contracts across various legal disciplines. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about ensuring compliance and clarity in contractual agreements. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong research and drafting skills, this position is perfect for you! Duties Ensure all required documentation is received prior to routing contracts for signature. Route for signatures to execute contract documents. Track and maintain contract review status. Work with several different departments thought out the company, examples include but are not limited to: serving as a point of contract for relay contract information to internal sales team members or others as requested, clarifying client requirements, coordinating and assembling information from team during contract negotiation, as needed and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Review contract documents for alignment with SVL's business policies and risk tolerance and assist with gathering additional detains or drafting redlines as need to ensure compliance. Contract document examples include but not limited to: Purchase orders and terms and conditions, NDA's, statement of work, etc. Any other duties as assigned by your manager.
Skills:
Qualifications/Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and/or
Experience:
A minimum of an AA/AS Business Management or Paralegal degree. At least 5 years' experience reviewing business contracts and red lines. Preferred experience in construction or HVAC industry.
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to relate to people on many levels (both internal and external). Ability to communicate with people tactfully and with diplomacy and professionalism.
Language Skills:
EXCELLENT
written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percent's, etc.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems with customers and staff. Strong initiative and decision-making skills required. Creative thinker with data driven analytical aptitude.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft skills required (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Organizational Skills:
Ability to plan, stay organized and focused throughout the day. Ability to
Multi-task:
Perform tasks simultaneously.
Professionalism:
Represents the company in a professional manner regarding interaction with your team, customers and corporate personnel.
Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Must show up on time for all required shifts. In office, no work from home flexibility.
