Job Title Contracts Analyst (Buyer III) Job Description This is a Sr. level Contracts Analyst (Buyer III) position focuses on strategic procurement with an emphasis on contract strategy, vendor negotiations, and readiness for mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructuring. The role supports procurement leadership and key business stakeholders by assessing existing agreements, identifying contractual and financial risks, and developing strategies that enable future corporate restructuring, acquisitions, and divestitures. This position is purely strategic and does not handle transactional procurement activities such as purchase orders, requisitions, or invoicing. Responsibilities Review, analyze, and negotiate complex indirect contracts to ensure favorable commercial terms and alignment with business objectives. Evaluate existing agreements, vendor commitments, compliance risks, and financial obligations to identify exposure and improvement opportunities. Assess contract utilization across multiple business units to understand current usage, overlaps, and gaps. Develop recommendations for contract allocation, separation, and optimization to support future mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring initiatives. Partner closely with IT, Finance, HR, Legal, and executive leadership to align procurement and contract strategies with overall corporate goals. Manage vendor relationships and lead contract negotiations to improve pricing, service levels, and risk profiles. Lead large-scale vendor and contract portfolio management efforts to ensure consistency, efficiency, and risk mitigation across the organization. Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, analyses, and recommendations that clearly communicate findings, risks, and strategic options. Apply strong financial, analytical, and risk assessment capabilities to support data-driven decision-making in procurement and contracting. Maintain a strategic focus on indirect procurement and indirect purchasing, ensuring that contract structures support long-term organizational needs. Skills and Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 5+ years of procurement experience with a strong focus on indirect procurement and indirect purchasing. Extensive knowledge of contracts, vendor management, and contract negotiations. Demonstrated financial, analytical, and risk assessment capabilities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis and modeling. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint for creating executive-level presentations. Proven experience managing large-scale vendor and contract portfolios. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence leaders and executive stakeholders. Experience working in a strategic procurement role that is separate from transactional procurement activities such as purchase orders, requisitions, or invoicing. Work Environment This role operates in a professional, corporate environment with a strong emphasis on strategic procurement and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires frequent interaction with IT, Finance, HR, Legal, and executive leadership, and involves managing large-scale vendor and contract portfolios. Work is primarily performed using standard office productivity tools, with advanced use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and executive presentations. The focus is on high-impact, strategic initiatives rather than day-to-day transactional procurement activities Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kohler, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $87.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
