Job Description

Science Systems and Applications Inc. (SSAI) is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to provide comprehensive contract administration and management for a portfolio of federal government contracts. This position will serve as the primary contracts point of contact for a key company program while also supporting several additional contracts and business initiatives. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a combination of onsite and remote work based on business, customer, and contractual requirements. Duties may include but are not limited to: Oversight of Contract administration, budgeting and resource allocation, financial planning and forecasting, and cost monitoring and control, and maintaining, administering, and operating a financial and resources management and reporting system. Day-to-day operations, including administering contracts, reviewing financial reports, and reviewing cost and fee invoices Contract closeout functions, including analyzing invoices, analyzing billing, and completing related close-out documentation Decide and Organize projects priorities Oversee government reporting and periodic compliance filings (e.g., property reporting, SAM.gov, service contractor reporting, GSA schedule reporting, FSRS, ESRS, CPARS etc.) Review solicitations for new contract work, both government and commercial, including assessing the contractual risk/return trade-offs Independently works through situational issues and uses problem solving skills to achieve desired project outcome Compliance oversight - Exercise knowledge regarding FAR, DFAR and contract-specific compliance issues, and corporate policy and standard procedures Review and evaluate requests for proposals (RFPs/RFQs) and changes to contracts
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree (B.S. or B.A.) and a minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in Government contracting required Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Unanet or similar contract management systems US Citizenship required.
Desired Qualifications:
Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional certification (CSCP), Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), or Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM). EOE, including disability/vets
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
