Beacon Hill is seeking a Remote Contracts & Legal Operations Manager for an exciting opportunity supporting a growing legal department. This role is ideal for an experienced contracts professional with a strong background in contract lifecycle management, legal operations, privacy compliance, and process improvement. The successful candidate will serve as a key business partner across legal, procurement, privacy, information security, and other corporate functions while driving operational excellence throughout the contracting process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the negotiation, drafting, review, execution, and administration of a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements Develop, implement, and maintain contract templates, playbooks, policies, approval workflows, and related contracting tools Administer and optimize the organization's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform and other legal technology solutions Manage contracting processes, reporting, metrics, and workflow improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability Identify opportunities for automation and operational enhancements across the contract lifecycle Partner with Privacy, Information Security, Procurement, and business stakeholders to support vendor onboarding and third-party risk management initiatives Coordinate privacy impact assessments, data protection reviews, and compliance evaluations associated with vendor relationships and business operations Support privacy management processes and tools, including intake management, tracking, workflow administration, and reporting Identify and assist in resolving contractual issues involving privacy, data protection, information security, and compliance risks Serve as a trusted advisor to internal clients regarding contracting requirements, approval processes, legal operations, and associated business risks Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Privacy, Information Security, Clinical, Research, and other cross-functional teams to implement best practices and operational improvements Develop and deliver training related to contract management processes, legal operations tools, privacy requirements, and compliance programs Support the adoption and ongoing use of legal technology and compliance platforms through documentation, training, and user support
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required 8+ years of experience in contract management, legal operations, compliance, procurement support, or a related field Extensive experience managing the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, administration, and contract governance Strong understanding of contract management principles, legal operations, privacy compliance, and risk management practices Experience administering or supporting Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and improve policies, processes, and operational workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or research-driven organizations Experience with Ironclad CLM administration
