Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants Manager to lead our organization's grant initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee grant reporting, budget management, and compliance management, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise will drive strategic planning, vendor management, and contract negotiation efforts that support our mission-driven programs. The Grants Manager will also manage documentation, records, and legal review processes to uphold the highest standards of integrity and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence impactful projects while developing innovative solutions within a collaborative environment. Gallup Community Health is a thriving Federally-Qualified Health Center serving the rural and largely Native American Gallup and McKinley County, New Mexico. We are fast-paced and rapidly growing, with a significant recent expansion in grant portfolio. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of grant project implementation, including tracking milestones, budgets, and deliverables through comprehensive project management practices. Oversee vendor management activities by evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and partners. Ensure compliance with procurement regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and other relevant policies across all procurement activities. Review legal documents including contracts, memoranda of understanding, and licensing agreements for accuracy and adherence to legal standards such as intellectual property law and legal drafting best practices. Maintain meticulous records management systems for grants, contracts, procurement documents. Conduct research on funding opportunities and develop strategic plans for business development that align with organizational growth objectives. Facilitate change management processes related to contract modifications or procedural updates while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contractor management aligns with government contract management experience standards and procurement regulatory knowledge. Qualifications Proven experience in grant management combined with strong knowledge of government contract management standards and procurement regulations such as FAR. Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, negotiation skills, and contract negotiation strategies. Extensive background in document review, legal drafting related to contracts or grants, and compliance management practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce CRM platform, PeopleSoft ERP system, DocuSign electronic signature software, and other document management tools. Familiarity with public sector purchasing processes including federal funding guidelines and procurement regulatory frameworks. Excellent research capabilities paired with strategic planning skills to identify opportunities for business development. Strong writing skills for proposal writing, technical documentation, reports, and business correspondence. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in records management and documentation review processes.
