Compensation:
$1500 Fixed Quarterly Stipend (Flat Rate) Position Overview Obran Health is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical oversight for two of our California-based Home Healthcare Agencies. You will ensure our medical services are integrated, safe, and fully compliant with state mandates. This role is strictly administrative and consultative, focused on high-level quality management rather than direct primary care. Obran Health is part of Obran Cooperative, the first worker-owned cooperative conglomerate in the United States. Unlike traditional healthcare corporations, Obran is owned by its workers. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Oversight:
Act as the registered Physician lead in accordance with California Title 22
Clinical Quality Management & QAPI:
Actively participate in the Quality Management program Attend Quarterly QAPI meetings to review clinical outcomes and patient safety data
Clinical Governance and Consultation:
Conduct occasional chart reviews to ensure documentation meets medical necessity Review and approve clinical protocols and treatment guidelines Provide remote guidance to the Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) on complex cases
Requirements Licensure:
Current, unrestricted California Physician's License (MD or DO)
Compliance Knowledge:
Familiarity with California Title 22 and Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs)
Malpractice Insurance:
Candidate must maintain their own insurance Familiarity/experience with
Home Healthcare Benefits Work Schedule & Compensation Commitment:
8-10 hours/quarter
