Job Description This is a short-term, high-impact engagement for a Contracts professional with strong experience in defense and government contracting. The selected candidate will take ownership of contract activities, ensure compliance with defense contracting standards, and support the business during a critical transition period. Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, including drafting, review, and execution
Ensure adherence to defense contract standards and regulatory requirements
Support contract negotiations with prime contractors and subcontractors
Provide day-to-day contract guidance during organizational transition
Partner closely with Legal and business leadership, including Head of Legal

5+ years of defense contracts management experience
Strong understanding of defense contract standards and compliance requirements (FAR/flowdowns)
CMMC framework (Levels, scoping, assessments)
Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle ownership
Ability to operate independently and own the contracts function
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Cybersecurity & Data Protection (Nice to have)
NIST SP 800 171 / 172
Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling
Supply chain cybersecurity risk
SSPs (System Security Plans) & POA&Ms
Coordinating engineers, IT, and compliance stakeholders Supply Chain & Industrial Base Expertise(Nice to have)
Subcontract management and flow down compliance
Domestic source restrictions (Buy American Act, Berry Amendment)
