Job Description

Job Description This is a short-term, high-impact engagement for a Contracts professional with strong experience in defense and government contracting. The selected candidate will take ownership of contract activities, ensure compliance with defense contracting standards, and support the business during a critical transition period. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, including drafting, review, and execution
  • Ensure adherence to defense contract standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support contract negotiations with prime contractors and subcontractors
  • Provide day-to-day contract guidance during organizational transition
  • Partner closely with Legal and business leadership, including Head of Legal

  • 5+ years of defense contracts management experience
  • Strong understanding of defense contract standards and compliance requirements (FAR/flowdowns)
  • CMMC framework (Levels, scoping, assessments)
  • Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle ownership
  • Ability to operate independently and own the contracts function
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  •  Cybersecurity & Data Protection (Nice to have)
NIST SP 800 171 / 172
  •  Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling
  •  Supply chain cybersecurity risk
  •  SSPs (System Security Plans) & POA&Ms
  •  Coordinating engineers, IT, and compliance stakeholders Supply Chain & Industrial Base Expertise(Nice to have)
  •  Subcontract management and flow down compliance
  •  Domestic source restrictions (Buy American Act, Berry Amendment)
  •  Specialty metals compliance
  •  Supplier risk assessments
  •  Industrial base resilience consulting
  •  Counterfeit parts mitigation (DFARS 252.
