The Contract & Permit Administrator will be responsible for managing all administrative aspects of the permit and ARB application and acquisition processes and preparing contracts. This role involves extensive coordination with internal teams, community ARB administrators and local building departments to ensure all applications comply with all requirements. The administrator's primary objective is to streamline the permitting workflow, monitor application statuses, and prevent project delays. Responsibilities - Permit & Contract Administrator Document management : Maintain meticulous and organized records of all permits, plans, licenses, and correspondence, utilizing permit tracking software and databases. Compliance monitoring : Ensure that permit applications are complete, accurate, and meet all current regulatory requirements, including building codes and zoning laws. Troubleshooting and problem-solving : Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the permitting process, such as regulatory delays or application discrepancies, to keep projects on schedule. Information dissemination : Provide guidance to internal staff, contractors, and the public regarding permit application procedures and requirements. Record-keeping and reporting : Generate reports on permit statuses, track permit and ARB submittal timelines, and assist with compliance reporting as needed. Experience - Permit Administrator Experience with document management systems and software. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective communication with vendors, team members, ARB administrators and building department staff. Previous experience for a residential builder in a permit coordination, administration, or related clerical role is preferred.
