Job Description
Apave America is hiring a Manager - Contracts and Commercial Support in Houston, Texas! The role focuses on strengthening commercial operations, ensuring contract integrity, and enabling the sales organization to perform at its best. The ideal candidate brings a proven ability to optimize contracting processes, enhance commercial governance, and support client‑facing teams with clear, compliant, and strategically aligned agreements. They proactively identify opportunities to improve revenue outcomes, mitigate risk, and elevate the company's competitive position through strong commercial insight and cross‑functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Review contracts for compliance to organizational legal & commercial standards Identify language which deviates from legal & commercial standards Negotiate contract language with clients, subcontractors and vendors, etc. Assist in the development of pricing strategies and rates for clients Assist in the maintenance of client consortiums such as ISN, Avetta and others Assist in the maintenance of client portals such as Ariba, and others Assist in the writing of contracts, subcontracts, standard agreements and standard templates such as MSA's and NDA's Coordinate with other department leaders in company compliance with laws and regulations Participate in contract financial compliance audits Assist in responding to RFP's and RFI's and other client requests Assist in the maintenance of our insurance and OCIP programs Respond to ad hoc management reports and requests Maintain compliance with company safety programs and culture initiatives Coordinate completion of other client document requests such as representations, certifications and others Take ownership of company databases and other systems as it relates to contract management and coordination Develop additional legal and commercial standards, procedures and processes Initiate timely renewals of existing contracts Coordinate and manage contracts
Required Skills:
Proven record of sales growth Experience in customer service, marketing, or a sales-related field. Experience in Non-Destructive Testing and/or Oil and Gas Industry will be considered an asset Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques Exceptional project management skills Clear verbal and written communication skills Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potentialQualifications:
