This role is responsible for coordinating and managing assigned contracts and grants from federal and state entities, supporting compliance and reporting requirements, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the contract life cycle.
Responsibilities:
Manage submission timelines; monitor outcome measures and performance targets; develop evaluation and monitoring reports; and complete all required documentation within established timeframes. Assist with the preparation, coordination, and review of RFPs, solicitations, and related contract documents. Distribute contract information and support Center-wide awareness of and compliance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, and internal policies. Serve as a primary resource for contract-related information, providing support to internal departments and coordinating with external providers and payers as needed. Serve as an initial point of contact for incoming contract requests and coordinate intake, tracking, and routing in accordance with established procedures. Attend and actively participate in internal and external contract-related meetings, webinars, conference calls, and committees. Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date contract files, databases, and tracking tools for assigned contracts, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Utilize approved contract templates and standard language, identifying deviations and coordinating review as required. Support contract reporting and data accuracy for internal tracking, management review, and oversight purposes. Assist with audits, monitoring activities, special projects, and other contract-related assignments as needed. Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes and workflows and provide recommendations as appropriate. Coordinate with finance, compliance, and operational teams to support timely contract execution and compliance.
Schedule:
This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in law, business, contract management or a related field, plus at least two (2) years of full-time work experience with contracts. (Education and experience may be substituted - 30 hours of college equals one year of experience)
Skills & Abilities:
Draft, review, redline, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts, including but not limited to professional services agreements (PSAs), master service agreements (MSAs), difficulty of care agreements, service agreements, and vendor contracts, in accordance with organizational policies and established templates. Manage contracts throughout the full life cycle, including execution, renewal, amendment, termination, and tracking of key milestones, deliverables, and notice provisions. Identify operational, financial, and legal risks within contracts, exercising sound judgment to recommend or escalate mitigation strategies as appropriate while maintaining confidentiality. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and communicate clearly and professionally with executives, leadership, managers, and staff. Serve as a primary point of contact for routine contractual matters, escalating complex or high-risk issues as needed. Provide contract-related guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding contract processes, requirements, and compliance obligations, within scope of responsibility. Interpret applicable regulations and contract requirements to support compliance with procurement laws and licensing standards, including participation in audits, compliance reviews, and contract monitoring activities. Working knowledge of standards and requirements outlined by licensing or payor sources such as JCAHO, ICF-MR, HHSC, managed care organizations (MCOs), Medicare, and Medicaid, as well as applicable organizational policies and procedures. Ensure executed contracts are accurately stored, indexed, and maintained within the contract management system and related tracking tools. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments, competing priorities, and complete time-sensitive documentation accurately and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to contract interpretation and issue identification. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, follow written and verbal instructions, and collaborate effectively in a team-based environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required. Experience with Agiloft (contract lifecycle management), Smartsheets (project tracking and collaboration), and IAMOnline (deliverable submission) preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check. Must have a Texas driver's license, liability auto insurance, and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
