Job Summary Location 7389 Lee Hwy,Falls Church, VA, 22042,United StatesBase Pay $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 / YearDescription The Business Development & Capture Lead supports the opportunity lifecycle — from market intelligence and pipeline research through capture execution and proposal drafting — for Alesig's priority markets. This is a hands-on individual contributor role in a fast-moving small business environment: you will research and qualify opportunities, support capture strategy under the direction of executive leadership, help identify and vet teaming partners, and contribute directly to proposal development. You will work closely with executive leadership and have meaningful input into which opportunities we pursue.

Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, qualify, and maintain the opportunity pipeline across Army, DHA, DOL, and adjacent federal markets using GovWin IQ, SAM.gov, FPDS, USASpending, and agency forecastsSupport market and competitive intelligence: incumbent analysis, contract vehicle mapping, recompete tracking, and awardee/competitor profilingTrack task order opportunities on relevant contract vehicles (e.g., ITES-3S, RS3, agency-specific IDIQs and BPAs) and flag teaming paths where Alesig lacks a prime seatCapture LeadLead capture efforts for qualified opportunities using Shipley (or equivalent) methodology: capture plan inputs, competitive assessments, and gate review prepEngage customers to gather intelligence, validate hot buttons, and build pre-RFP awareness of Alesig's capabilitiesLead call plans and customer contact campaigns; represent Alesig at industry days and small business outreach eventsTeaming & Partner RelationshipsIdentify and vet potential teaming partners — as prime and subcontractor candidates — including researching workshare and exclusivity considerations for leadership reviewHelp cultivate relationships with large primes, small business partners, and socioeconomic teaming candidates (8(a), WOSB/EDWOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone)Support leadership in leveraging Alesig's socioeconomic positioning (8(a), EDWOSB) in teaming and set-aside pursuit decisionsProposal Support & Transition to DeliveryDraft proposal content: win theme inputs, past performance write-ups, staffing approach sectionsSupport clean capture-to-proposal handoff with organized customer intelligence, competitive assessment, and win strategy documentationSupport orals prep, BAFO/FPR response drafting, and post-award transition coordination as neededBusiness OperationsMaintain accurate pipeline data, pWin inputs, and bid/no-bid documentation for leadership decision-makingTrack BD spend and support capture ROI reportingContribute to marketing collateral, capability statements, and white papers tailored to target agenciesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)2-4 years of federal business development, capture, or proposal experienceWorking knowledge of federal acquisition (FAR/DFARS), set-aside programs (8(a), WOSB/EDWOSB), and contract vehicles/IDIQ task order competitionProficiency or working familiarity with GovWin IQ, SAM.gov, FPDS, and USASpendingStrong writing skills — able to draft win theme inputs, capability statements, and proposal sectionsSelf-starter comfortable operating in a small business environment where BD, capture, and proposal roles overlapPreferred QualificationsExposure to U.S. Army commands (e.g., IMCOM, TRADOC/CASCOM, Army Reserve, SDDC/ARTRANS), DHA, and/or the Department of LaborFamiliarity with Army and DHA contracting organizations and IT modernization initiatives (e.g., network engineering, service desk, RMF/ATO, data analytics)Exposure to ITES-3S, RS3, or similar DoD IT vehiclesBasic understanding of cybersecurity compliance frameworks (RMF, CMMC, ISO 27001)APMP certification or Shipley training (or willingness to pursue)Core Skills & CompetenciesCustomer engagement: builds rapport with government stakeholders and surfaces useful intelligenceAnalytical thinking: supports opportunity shaping and provides disciplined bid/no-bid inputsTeaming awareness: understands the small business teaming landscape in the NCRCompetitive analysis: develops actionable intelligence on incumbents, pricing, and evaluation dynamics
