Full Job Description Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME). The position of Acquisition SME is a multi-faceted role that is heavily reliant on organization and problem-solving skills. The position requires acquisition support duties including data analysis, doctrine/policy translation, and business process analysis, in addition to Army customer product procurement assistance. The SME will be responsible for supporting Digital Market Action Officers and Division Chiefs with a variety of hardware and software contract actions. In addition to contract management duties, the SME is expected to perform specialized tasks including Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product analysis, provide advice and consultation to internal and external stakeholders, conduct training, and recommend policy adjustments/creation. The SME will resolve product or services problems by clarifying the customer's issue, determining the cause of the problem, then selecting and explaining the solution.
Location:
Ft. Belvoir, VA Responsibilities include: Resolve customer inquiries for Digital Market contracts. Research policies and mandates applicable to Digital Market products and services. Provide acquisition support and process license requests for SW contracts. Provide a weekly summary of actions to Digital Market Leadership. Conduct periodic vendor and Army Stakeholder meetings. Compile and analyze contract actions and inquiry data in various reports. Complete specialized project assignments without lapse in contract support or customer inquiry coverage. Research and construct documents and reports for IT products and policies as related to the Digital Market mission. Jointly establish and prioritize new initiatives, milestones, and tasks and track their progress. Ability to interpret Army, DoD, and Federal rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active Secret security clearance. 8-12 years of experience in an administrative, communication or customer service environment. 3-5 years of experience in acquisition specific role. Experience within Federal Acquisition Environment is required with knowledge of government acquisition and the policies that govern the acquisition process. Experience working with Armed Services components. MBA or MS degree preferred (6 years of experience may be substituted for Master's degree). Ability to organize and maintain large amounts of data and information. Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate with Digital Market partners, stakeholders, and leadership. Experience presenting data analysis to large audiences. Must have extensive knowledge of MS Office and the ability to quickly learn new programs, when required.
Desired Qualification:
DAWIA training and/or certification(s). Knowledge of agile concepts and methodologies. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communications. Ability to read and interpret information on computer screens and printed documents. Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, or move about the office. May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull office materials and equipment weighing up to 5-15 pounds. Ability to travel between office locations or attend meetings as required.
