Purpose Manage and lead all aspects of federal, state, and local government-funded projects within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. Responsible for planning, execution, financial performance, contract compliance, client satisfaction, and successful project delivery. Serve as the primary client interface and ensure projects are executed in accordance with contract requirements, federal acquisition regulations, applicable agency standards, company policies, and project objectives while supporting business growth and long-term client relationships. Responsibilities Leadership and Direction Perform work under limited supervision requiring the exercise of independent judgment, decision-making, and discretion. Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and technical staff. Serve as a trusted advisor to internal leadership and project teams regarding project execution, contract requirements, and risk management. Foster collaboration across offices, disciplines, and client organizations to ensure successful project outcomes. Mentor and develop project team members to strengthen project management capabilities and support succession planning. At the Operational and Company Level Manage federal contracts and task orders from project initiation through closeout. Serve as the primary point of contact for federal agencies, contracting officers, contracting officer representatives (CORs), program managers, and other stakeholders. Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, pursuit strategy, and contract capture activities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with federal, state, and local government clients. Ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency-specific requirements, contract provisions, and company policies. Coordinate with finance, contracts, legal, procurement, quality, and technical teams to support project delivery and compliance. Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect company interests and project performance. Do the Work Manage all phases of AEC projects including planning, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and closeout. Develop project management plans, quality plans, communication plans, and risk management strategies. Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain regular communication with clients and project teams. Manage project budgets, forecasts, labor utilization, subcontractors, and resource allocations to achieve financial objectives. Monitor project performance related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Review and approve project deliverables for compliance with contract requirements and quality standards. Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams including engineering, surveying, planning, environmental, and construction management personnel. Manage subcontractor and consultant performance, contract compliance, and invoicing. Prepare and review project status reports, progress reports, invoices, staffing plans, and earned value metrics as required. Support preparation of cost estimates, fee proposals, technical approaches, and project execution strategies for new opportunities. Identify and resolve project issues proactively, escalating concerns as necessary. Ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements, cybersecurity requirements, quality management standards, and project documentation requirements. Conduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions to support continuous improvement. Participate in client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations to strengthen client relationships and promote company capabilities. Support program management initiatives and strategic growth objectives as assigned. Success Metrics and Competencies Ability to effectively lead multidisciplinary project teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Planning, or related field required. Fifteen (15+) or more years of progressive project management experience within the AEC industry. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing federal government contracts and projects. Demonstrated experience managing projects for agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, FHWA, FAA, FEMA, DoD, DOE, USFS, NPS, or other federal agencies preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or other relevant professional licensure preferred. Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting practices. Experience managing contracts, task orders, IDIQ contracts, MATOCs, or similar federal contract vehicles preferred. Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and earned value management principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with project management and scheduling software preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances if required by contract. Range $139,363 - $181,952 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
