Position Category Growth Clearance Public Trust Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Junior Proposal Manager to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) DCCO account. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, coordination, development, and submission of competitive federal proposals. This individual will work closely with Proposal Managers, Capture Managers, Business Development, Technical Leads, Pricing, Contracts, Recruiting, and other functional teams to ensure proposals are compliant, compelling, and submitted on schedule. The Junior Proposal Manager will support multiple proposal efforts simultaneously and play an integral role throughout the proposal lifecycle, from pre-solicitation planning through final proposal submission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Day Work Responsibilities:

Support Proposal Managers throughout all phases of the federal proposal lifecycle, including pre-RFP planning, proposal development, production, and submission.

Assist in developing and maintaining proposal schedules, compliance matrices, action item trackers, and milestone calendars.

Track proposal assignments and follow up with contributors to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Coordinate with technical subject matter experts, pricing, contracts, recruiting, graphics, production, and business development teams to collect proposal content.

Assist with proposal editing, formatting, document management, version control, and quality assurance reviews.

Support proposal compliance reviews to ensure all solicitation requirements are addressed.

Maintain proposal repositories, templates, lessons learned, and other proposal management documentation.

Prepare status reports and communicate proposal progress to leadership.

Support multiple concurrent proposal efforts while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of business development and proposal operations.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent and 6 years of experience

U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Experience coordinating multiple proposal activities and meeting aggressive deadlines.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting federal government proposals, RFP responses, RFIs, or other government solicitation responses.
  • Familiarity with the federal proposal lifecycle, including compliance matrices, proposal schedules, and color team reviews.
  • Experience coordinating proposal inputs and deliverables across cross functional teams.
  • Experience developing proposal schedules, action item trackers, compliance matrices, and other proposal documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint and other collaboration or proposal management tools.

Familiarity with Shipley proposal development methodologies and federal contracting terminology. Target Salary Range $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
