Job Description
Mercy seeks an Executive Director, Cardiovascular Service Line to lead strategy, operations, and growth of our cardiovascular programs across the Midwest. This role oversees clinical quality, financial performance, and patient experience while driving service line integration, program development, and physician alignment. The director will collaborate with senior leaders, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to expand access, improve outcomes, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance, while fostering innovation, staff development, and a culture of compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic plans for the cardiovascular service line across Mercy facilities Oversee operational and financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation Drive quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives to improve cardiovascular outcomes Partner with physicians and clinical leaders to grow programs and ensure alignment Lead service line expansion, market development, and partnership opportunities Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements Use data and analytics to guide decisions, monitor KPIs, and report performance Lead, mentor, and develop leaders and staff within the service line Collaborate with executive leadership on capital planning and technology investments Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and compassionate, patient-centered care Required Skills Healthcare service line management Strategic planning Cardiovascular program development Clinical operations leadership Financial management Quality and performance improvement Regulatory compliance Physician relations and alignment Data analysis and reporting Team and change management
