Job Description
Overview Better Horizons LLC, a fast-growing behavioral health residential organization, is seeking multiple dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technicians, caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with sever mental illness. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, ensuring that clients receive the support they need to thrive in their daily lives. This position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and safe environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Qualified candidates will also be considered for house manager opportunities as well. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP). Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, and community environments. Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary to ensure the safety of clients and staff. Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately. Collaborate with families and other professionals to promote effective communication and support strategies. Assist in medication self-administration as needed, following established protocols. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to behavioral health and crisis management. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with severe mental illness or other developmental disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques is a plus. Experience as house manager or team lead is a plus. Knowledge of crisis management strategies and crisis intervention methods. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to client confidentiality and privacy. Experience working with adults in a behavioral health setting is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions.
