Role Description The Non-Technical Co Founder will work full time on-site in San Francisco, CA, partnering closely with technical founders to define the company vision, product strategy, and go-to-market approach. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and customer research, shaping positioning and messaging, and identifying high-value use cases for Girder AI's technology. This role will lead business development efforts, build relationships with early customers and partners, and manage sales pipelines from outreach through negotiation. The Co Founder will also handle fundraising activities, investor relations, and high-level financial planning, while establishing core operational processes and metrics. The role requires hands-on involvement in hiring, team culture development, and strategic decision-making to guide the company through early growth stages. Qualifications Experience in startup environments or early-stage ventures, with a strong interest in AI, software, or data-driven products. Background in business development, sales, or partnerships, including managing customer relationships and closing deals. Ability to conduct structured market and customer research, synthesize insights, and translate findings into product or business strategy. Strong skills in communication, storytelling, and pitch development for customers, partners, and investors. Comfort with financial concepts such as revenue forecasting, budgeting, and unit economics; experience with fundraising is a plus. Track record of owning projects end-to-end, operating with high accountability, and making data-informed decisions. Collaborative working style with the ability to partner effectively with technical teams and adapt in a fast-changing environment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
