  • 32 per hour, based on experience Additional bonus is based on performance Mathnasium of North La Mesa is looking for a motivated, organized, and results-driven Center Director to lead our learning center.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining center operations, sales, customer service, team management, and student success . Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the Mathnasium center and ensure a professional, welcoming environment. Respond promptly to new leads, conduct consultations and assessments, follow up with prospective families, and drive student enrollments. Build strong relationships with parents and maintain regular communication regarding student progress, concerns, renewals, and program recommendations. Monitor enrollment, retention, attendance, lead conversion, revenue, and other key center performance metrics. Hire, train, schedule, coach, and manage instructors and center staff. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and ensure instructional quality and consistent implementation of the Mathnasium Method™. Conduct student assessments, identify learning needs, develop learning plans, and monitor academic progress. Ensure student records, attendance, scheduling, billing follow-ups, and other administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and on time. Proactively identify at-risk or inactive families and work to improve student retention and customer satisfaction. Support local marketing efforts, school relationships, community partnerships, events, and referral programs. Maintain center cleanliness, organization, supplies, curriculum materials, and readiness for daily operations. Work closely with ownership to review center performance, identify opportunities, solve operational issues, and execute growth initiatives. What We're Looking For Previous management, leadership, sales, customer service, or education experience. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable speaking with parents and confidently presenting and selling educational programs. Ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable. Strong math skills through high school-level mathematics. Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, CRM/business systems, and office software. Dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities. Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous Mathnasium or tutoring-center experience is a plus. Applicants will be required to complete a math literacy assessment as part of the hiring process. Why Join Mathnasium?
