Pharmacy:

The inpatient pharmacy department delivers evidence-based pharmaceutical care, collaborating closely with physicians and interprofessional teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, the department supports a variety of inpatient areas including Rehab, PICU, NICU, Acute Care, and Oncology. Services extend to specialty clinics such as Oncology, Hematology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology/CF, Endocrinology, Neurology, and Cardiology. Pharmacists are engaged in clinical protocols for antibiotic monitoring, anticoagulation, IV to oral conversion, and renal dosing, along with Emergency Department support and parenteral nutrition management.

Madera, CA Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Pharmacy with developing, implementing, and overseeing departmental goals and daily hospital pharmacy operations. Collaborate with medical and hospital staff to uphold the hospital's principles and values. Manage medication dispensing, provide drug consultations, and supervise pharmacy staff, including ambulatory and IT pharmacists. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulatory agencies, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives. Participate in pharmacy-related committees, professional organizations, and scholarly activities to promote professional growth. Oversee pharmacy projects such as IT systems, pharmacy automation, bedside scanning, barcoding, departmental data reporting, and operational efficiency. Provide leadership and support to pharmacists in pharmaceutical care implementation.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required Registered Pharmacist license (CA State Board of Pharmacy) required with license in-hand Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA within 30 days of hire Minimum 3 years pediatric pharmacy experience required ASHP-accredited residency and Master's degree in Public Health or Business Administration preferred Minimum 5 years of demonstrated proficiency preferred Experience with

EPIC EMR

system preferred
