With a commitment to evidence-based practices and a person-centered approach, we serve over a thousand individuals annually across our 10 locations, providing transformative care that prioritizes clinical excellence. Summary The Food Program Manager is responsible for ensuring each facility provides clients with consistent, nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining food safety, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and company standards. This position provides leadership and oversight to our culinary team, including scheduling, training, menu implementation, inventory management, purchasing, and monitoring day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple locations. Responsibilities Supports daily operations across all CA and NV sites. Conduct weekly site visits and walkthroughs. Ensure compliance with state regulations and CARF standards. Provide employee training and development. Assist in the development and implementation of strategic department plans. Analyze food costs and assist with departmental budgets. Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards. Manages inventory and purchses food and supplies. Develops client menus, including meals for special dietary needs. Plans and assists in preparing special meals for events. Supervises sous chef and residential facility chefs. Monitors and maintains monthly staff schedules. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a current SERV Safe Manager Certification. At least 4 years' experience working in a food service role is required. Preparing food for institutions, such as schools, facilities, or cafeterias is preferred. At least 2 years of supervisory experience is required. Must have and maintain a valid California driver's license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray. Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
