Build long-term partnerships and help clients address environmental health challenges About the Role The National Director leads Benchmark Environmental's national emergency response and EHS services platform, with full responsibility for building, scaling, and integrating the National Team into a high-performing, national operation. This is a high-impact, highly visible executive leadership role for someone who wants to take ownership of a business line and grow it. You will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, driving both operational excellence and revenue growth. You'll own full P&L performance across large-loss response, emergency EHS services, and remediation construction—while actively developing client relationships, expanding national accounts, and partnering across the organization to accelerate growth. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building something at scale, and is energized by both operational leadership and business development. Expect 40-60% national travel , engaging directly with clients, teams, and industry partners across the country. Responsibilities Lead national strategy and scale large-loss and emergency EHS response services Integrate the National Team into operations and go-to-market strategy Oversee national dispatch, operations, and execution across all engagements Ensure consistent delivery excellence, safety, and client satisfaction Own full P&L performance, including revenue, EBITDA, and margins Forecast, track, and optimize financial performance across the platform Serve as the national face of Benchmark—building relationships and closing strategic accounts Partner with local Directors and BD teams to align pursuit strategies and expand market presence Set and manage national BD budgets and performance targets Identify new sectors, service lines, and pricing strategies to stay ahead of the market Build, mentor, and scale regional and local leadership teams Strengthen organizational depth to support rapid response and sustained growth Provide hands-on leadership across IH, asbestos, lead, mold, and remediation construction Guide teams and support client engagements with technical expertise Business Development Drive growth of market share within the region through the development of new external business opportunities, as well as collaboration with other service areas within FACS's current client base through cross-selling initiatives. Drive revenue by promoting a strong Culture of Business Development in partnership with the Sales Team, including: Meeting revenue targets while ensuring achievement of office profitability in both dollars and margin Identifying new business opportunities within the existing client base Identifying sectors within the local market with opportunities for new client growth Partnering with the FACS Sales Director to implement the FACS sales process with clear and measurable targets Working with FACS technical staff to participate in sales calls as subject matter experts Ability to work collaboratively with the team to develop strategies that successfully close business Provide exceptional customer service and lead by example Understand the competitive landscape within the market, including emerging opportunities Experience 10+ years in environmental consulting, EHS, or remediation construction 7+ years in senior leadership roles with direct P&L ownership Demonstrated experience leading national or multi-region operations Proven track record managing large-loss projects ranging from $1M to $10M+ 2+ years of managed service or solution-based sales leadership Track record of meeting and exceeding performance targets in a collaborative, matrixed environment Abilities Expertise in remediation, construction, and EHS services including asbestos, lead, and mold Strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to understand and communicate complex financial information such as P&L statements Ability to integrate consulting and construction delivery models within a unified platform Ability to conduct client meetings in person, virtually, or via phone, conveying complex technical and financial information clearly Crisis leadership and decisive decision-making under pressure Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new technology platforms quickly Ability to travel nationally to meet with clients and attend association events and conferences Education / Certifications Education Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety, Construction, or a related field Advanced degree preferred Certifications Any single or combination of the following is preferred: Environmental CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) - preferred CAC/LAC, Lead, and Mold certifications Construction General Contractor (GC) License (or ability to obtain)

Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 lbs.
