Job Summary The Corporate Development Analyst, xScale will play an important role in supporting xScale's strategy through evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives, investments, partnerships, and transactions. They are expected to build strong partnerships with Corporate Development, Tax, Controllership, FP&A, GDC, Legal and Operations, among other teams to support transaction execution, assess market opportunities and develop investment recommendations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and financial modeling skills with strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to effectively communicate insights to the Equinix executive leadership.

ResponsibilitiesTransaction Evaluation & ExecutionSupport the execution of strategic transactionsSupport due diligence efforts across internal stakeholders and external advisorsSupport in the development of investment memos and executive-level presentations for senior leadership and approval committeesAssist in transaction structuring, negotiation support, and execution activitiesFinancial Modeling & Decision SupportBuild and maintain complex financial models to evaluate strategic investments and growth initiativesConduct discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, precedent transaction, and other valuation analysesAnalyze financial and operational performance data to support strategic decision-makingCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with Finance, Strategy, Legal, Development, Operations, and Commercial teams to drive executionSupport integration planning and post-transaction activities when applicableSupport the annual underwriting process of the in place portfolio in collaboration with broader xScale teamInvestment ManagementConduct market research and competitive analyses across the digital infrastructure, hyperscale, cloud, AI, and data center sectorsProactively communicates with internal departments to ensure accurate data is used for modeling purposesConducts financial modeling and assists in development of presentationsCoordinates with Design, Construction, Sales, Ops, Finance and other departments to determine optimal development plansAssists with creation of investment proposals to executive managementAssists in evaluation of site business performance against plansConducts financial analysis and IRR modelsPreferredExperience in data centers, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud, AI infrastructure, real estate, or energy sectorsExposure to M&A transactions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, or large-scale capital projectsFamiliarity with project finance and infrastructure investment analysis, ideally with previous investment banking and / or corporate development experienceProven experience with financial modelling in Excel and Power Point Proved experience in accounting and financial analysis, understanding the main drivers and relation of the 3 financial statementsSuccess MeasuresDeliver high-quality analyses and recommendations that support strategic decision-makingEffectively manage transaction workstreams and due diligence processesDevelop robust financial models and investment casesBuild trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders and work independentlyDemonstrate a team oriented and flexible way of working, show high levels of adaptabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred; CPA a plus3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Investment Banking/Top tier Management consulting/Corporate Finance/Corporate Development at a leading technology company preferredEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
