The Director will own engagement delivery end to end, manage and develop a team of consultants and analysts, and serve as a senior point of contact for private equity sponsors, corporate buyers, and management teams. Partnering with the practice leader and cross-functional teams, the Director will provide buyers and sellers with actionable insight on earnings quality, financial health, risks, and value drivers, while driving business development in target sectors. The Director of Quality of Earnings will perform the following responsibilities: Lead and oversee Quality of Earnings (QofE) analyses, including normalized EBITDA adjustments, revenue recognition reviews, working capital assessments, customer and vendor concentration analysis, and identification of non-recurring items, ensuring quality and consistency across all engagements. Direct financial due diligence for buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, with a focus on government contracting clients, and present findings directly to clients and deal stakeholders. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of consultants and analysts, overseeing workload allocation, review processes, and professional growth. Review and approve high-quality client deliverables, including QofE reports, due diligence memos, and presentations for private equity sponsors, corporate buyers, and management teams. Partner with the investment banking and valuation teams on integrated engagements and coordinate cross-functional deliverables. Drive business development by building and maintaining client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the growth of the Financial Consulting practice in target sectors. Requirements 8+ years of relevant experience in financial due diligence, QofE, transaction advisory, or related financial consulting roles (Big 4, national accounting firm, or boutique advisory preferred), including experience leading engagements and teams. Strong background in government contracting (e.g., experience with DCAA, FAR, CAS, or defense/aerospace financials). Hands-on experience with SEC reporting, IPO/audit readiness, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and complex accounting environments. Proven track record of leading financial consulting and transaction support engagements and managing client relationships. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools. Experience in Defense, Government, Technology, or Professional Services sectors. Familiarity with private equity processes and middle-market transactions. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee and prioritize multiple engagements simultaneously.
