Area Director GFenterprise llc Franchisee of Taco Bell Springfield, MA Job Details Full-time $1 - $2 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Team development Hiring Profit & loss Calendar management Marketing Full Job Description Job Overview Area Director Position The AD will manage and supervise up to 8 stores The AD needs to complete 3 AD visits per store, per period. This is the minimum required. The AD will be required to complete more visits as the data dictates. The AD visit needs to be emailed from the store to both the RGM and RVP at the time of the visit. The AD needs to complete a calendar two periods in advance with all visits scheduled. This will need to be adjusted as business needs change. The AD's calendar should be filled with follow-up daily to help lead the RGM's on the path to green. The Visit Review the numbers before you arrive at the store and plan your development. The visit should take 2-6 hours. The AD visit form itself should take less than 20 minutes to complete. . The rest of the time is spent coaching and developing the team. At the end of your visit take some time to review current emails and answer anything that is pending. This is a key time to catch up on your admin. Emails should be answered within 6 business hours as they are a vital part of the AD's responsibility. . The AD should Allow 1.5 hours per day to review and stay ahead of your administrative responsibilities. Most of this time should be in a store at the end of each visit. Always review the learning zone progress as part of your visit and address any outliers with a plan to correct. Monitor your OSAT's and Speed throughout the day and adjust as needed. Some stores will require more than one AD visit per week your RVP will help decide when more visit are needed. The AD's need to lead conversations around the Big 5. It's the AD's responsibility to ensure the RGM can discuss and teach their team the basics of the Big 5. The Big 5 tip sheet is the best way to keep the team focused. The AD's purpose of the visit is to ensure all systems and processes are in use and the current culture is leading to a productive, stress-free environment. These systems change as time goes by and it's the AD's responsibility to adjust as needed. Area Director position Report use and follow up The AD needs to review reports in infosync daily. It is the AD's responsibility to know each store's numbers. They ensure the RGM's are communicating and sharing the right numbers and help course correct when needed. The AD actively needs to use all of the other reporting systems Taco Bell makes available. P&L review When the P&L is ready for review, an email will be sent to each AD. At that time, each AD should log into Right View Web and review them for accuracy and respond within 24 business hours. This should take no more than 1 hour. The AD needs to schedule a P&L review once per period with each RGM to ensure the performance matches the data we use each period. The review itself needs to be filled out by the RGM, the AD should only help course correct when needed. Brand calls and communications ADs need to ensure they have the Brand calls on their calendars and attend each meeting. The AD needs to stay on top of the brand communications and ensure they adjust the stores to any standard changes and communicate any marketing events. Maintenance The preventive maintenance schedule will be published each period, but it is each AD's responsibility to communicate what each store needs. The RGM's should be completing a list each period so the AD can follow up when visiting. Area Director Position Manager Development and Bench Plans The AD needs to maintain a bench plan each period to ensure each store has the proper level of managers and crew. The AD is required to have someone on the bench ready to fill each position. Hire when you need one! The AD needs to personally sign off on the certification of each manager trainee before they are allowed to manage a shift. Manager meetings The AD will have a minimum of one RGM meeting per period. These can be in person or via conference call if needed. These meetings should only last one hour. The RGM's should be communicating their results so they can be discussed as a group. The AD leads the discussion and course corrects as needed. Safety and security The AD is required to complete a safety review once per quarter and submit to the RVP via email.
