Our Staff play an important role in shaping the lives of our campers through leadership, encouragement, and teamwork. Please complete this application carefully. We are looking for an individual to join our 4-week Summer Camp Program in Raleigh NC. We are an academic and youth engagement summer camp, not just babysitting. We offer interactive classes like Mathematics, Robotics, Dance, Theatre, Public Speaking, Stem, and much more. As Camp Director you will manage the daily operations, safety, and staff of the summer camp, ensuring a secure and engaging environment for campers. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff, managing curriculum, following schedule (adjusting as needed), collecting feedback from campers/staff, and acting as the primary liaison with parents. You must ensure high-quality leadership and enforce safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management:
Oversees daily camp activities, logistics, and schedules to ensure smooth operation.
Safety and Risk Management:
Ensures the safety and welfare of campers and staff, maintains, follows, and enforces emergency protocols, and manages camper/staff behavior.
Staff Leadership:
Trains, supervises, and evaluates camp counselors and staff.
Program Development:
Manages age-appropriate activities, including sports, arts, and educational trips.
Communication:
Communicates with parents, guardians, and stakeholders regarding camp operations and child progress.
Administration:
Maintains records and prepares reports.

✅ Leadership training and mentorship ✅ Personal Office ✅ A supportive team environment ✅ The opportunity to build lifelong skills in communication, teamwork, and responsibility ✅ Weekly Pay Camp Director plays the crucial role manages the overall camp experience by working directly with staff, overseas campers, assisting with activities, and helping maintain a positive, engaging environment. Requirements (including but not limited to): Be present on-site for the full duration of camp: Monday - Friday from June 29th through July 24th Report every work day on location by 8:00 AM ready to Start the day by opening the Building. Leave after the last parent pick up, closing and locking the Building. Attend and fully participate in 1 in-person staff training. Oversee and support assigned groups of campers. Lead at least one class and seminar, ensuring engagement and alignment with camp objectives Actively support and help facilitate daily programming and camp wide activities Demonstrate strong teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude Clear verbal communication with campers, staff, and parents. Maintain active supervision of students during all activities, including field trips and transitions Model leadership, patience, and effective communication when working with youth Ability to handle behavioral issues or emergencies effectively. Must be able to handle working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Mobility:
Requires ability to walk, stand, run, sit, and traverse uneven terrain.
Lifting:
Able to lift and move equipment or supplies, sometimes up to 50 pounds.
