ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
South Bronx United (SBU) is a highly ambitious, international-award-winning, youth development organization serving nearly 2,000 youth annually. Its core mission is to enrich the lives of at-risk, immigrant, and first-generation youth and to help them reach college and pursue careers through academics, mentoring, workforce development, civic engagement, and soccer. SBU's budget now exceeds $3M that supports programs and a robust team of staff, volunteers, and mentors. SBU is looking for a new team member to be at the heart of these efforts to grow its revenue and impact.POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Institutional Giving role requires a detail-oriented, amiable, mission-driven individual who can manage foundation and corporate relationships, oversee funding proposals and grant writing, actively secure sponsorships for events and initiatives, and think strategically about opportunities for revenue growth and institutional partnership and cultivation. SBU seeks a leader who will motivate our team to succeed by setting ambitious targets, providing new opportunities, and embodying people-first approach to growing revenue.RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Core responsibilities include the following: Manage foundation and corporate relationships. Cultivate strong relationships through site visits, meetings, program updates, and events. Manage volunteer and engagement opportunity offerings for corporate partners. 2. Maintain strong records of all interactions Oversee funding proposals and grant writing. Secure sponsorships for events and initiatives. Oversee government funding efforts. Strategize new opportunities for revenue growth and institutional partnership.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES A
strong candidate should meet the following requirements: 5 years of development experience Experience in development planning, grant writing, corporate sponsorship, special events, capital campaigns, and stewardship. Self-motivated problem-solver; exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and optimistic Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills and customer service sense First-rate writing skills Entrepreneurial spirit Adept at skillfully partnering with program staff; and able to quickly assimilate knowledge about South Bronx United and its work A passion for the mission and programs of South Bronx United and the broader community An ability to work in diverse, multi-cultural settingsSCHEDULE
Full-time, primarily in-personBENEFITS
