Key Responsibilities Operations & Team Leadership Oversee day-to-day operations, scheduling, and staff productivity for spa and fitness facilities across both properties. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high morale and service standards. Ensure strict compliance with local/state laws, licensing, OSHA, and ADA regulations. Stay informed on industry trends while implementing innovative strategies so the property is established as the premier spa destination in the Catskills. Financial & Strategic Management Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, purchase orders, and capital expenditures with focus on cost control to ensure profitability. Implement short- and long-term strategies to boost revenue, retail sales, and guest retention. Oversee retail inventory, vendor relationships, and product merchandising. Deliver revenue growth through strategic pricing, retail initiatives, promotions and wellness programming. Collaboration with marketing and PR team to effectively promote spa and generate new business. Guest Experience & Programming Maintain the highest level of treatment protocols, service standards, and guest satisfaction. Develop the menu of services, fitness classes, guest workshops, and seasonal specials. Build personalized relationships with members and resolve guest issues with discretion and tact. Collaboration with Guest Experience team, creating and maintaining seasonal programming Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Position requires traveling outdoors between resort buildings in all weather conditions. Must be able to stand, stoop, crouch, and walk up/downstairs for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Other A minimum of 2 years of Spa Director experience is preferred.
