This position involves overseeing the Respiratory Therapy department in a healthcare setting, located in Yonkers, NY. The role requires full-time commitment and involves working on-site. The director will manage both administrative and technical aspects, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards. Requirements Working knowledge of administrative and technical aspects of respiratory therapy. Experience in directing personnel and managing departmental operations. Proficiency in developing policies and procedures in compliance with health regulations. Ability to oversee maintenance and repair programs for department equipment. Experience in staff training and development across various age groups. Capability in managing payroll and departmental statistics. Experience in purchasing and maintaining medical equipment and supplies. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; Master's preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in respiratory care. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC credential required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Experience in critical care, ventilator management, and interdisciplinary rounding. Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and Joint Commission surveys.
