Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Summer 2027 Internship Are you curious about how businesses make big decisions and turn data into action? As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern, you'll work alongside the Tektronix Finance team to solve real business challenges that help shape the future of a global technology company. Paired with a dedicated mentor and FP&A manager, you'll develop skills in financial analysis and strategic decision-making while gaining exposure to areas such as Sales, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Service. We're looking for students who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn by asking great questions, bringing fresh perspectives, and taking on meaningful work. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to high-impact projects, engage with senior leaders, and discover how finance drives business strategy. Best of all, our internship program serves as a primary pathway to full-time opportunities, giving you the chance to launch your career through our highly regarded Finance rotational program after graduation. Throughout the summer, you'll build a portfolio of meaningful accomplishments and showcase your recommendations and project outcomes to Finance leadership and the CFO. Real Projects. Real Impact. - Built an optimization model weighing the tradeoffs between overtime and additional headcount to enable sites to improve productivity and on-time delivery
- Recommended inventory management strategies based on historical reserve analysis to reduce excess inventory and improve working capital
- Analyzed external market and competitor data to identify trends and communicate target market share opportunities. Who We're Looking For
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 through Spring 2028.
- Motivated, driven, and professional with a strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact.
- Comfortable seeking clarification, asking thoughtful questions, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Technical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous business questions and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Index/Match, and data cleansing techniques.
- Experience analyzing data and clearly communicating insights and business recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A Plus:
Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, AI tools, data visualization, consulting projects, or client-facing work. What Makes You Stand Out- Intellectually curious and energized by solving complex business challenges.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions and bringing fresh perspectives that drive better outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership through internships, work experience, student organizations, athletics, research, or other extracurricular activities.
