Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible directors to join our team and provide excellent care and supervision to staff and children in our center. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and be committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for young learners to thrive.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but limited to the following
  • Supervise and oversee creation, prep and execution of lesson planning within the individual classrooms ensuring they are age appropriate, meet objectives in accordance to the curriculum, and are challenging and stimulating for all age groups.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by regularly sanitizing toys, equipment, and play areas.
  • Follow established routines and schedules for meals, naps, and activities.
  • Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to promote positive interactions and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with and coach staff members to plan and implement educational and recreational programs.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information about children and families.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with children, parents, and coworkers.
  • Patience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Basic understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
  • Ability to lift and carry children, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
QUALIFICATIONS
Meet the qualifications in at least one of the following paragraphs including but limited to the following: (1) A Master's Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services), public administration, business management or other related field and 2 years of experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, which includes supervision of others, direct service and program planning. (2) A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services), public administration, business management or other related field and 3 years of experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, which includes supervision of others, direct service and program planning. (3) An Associate Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services), public administration, business management or other related field and 4 years of experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, which includes supervision of others, direct service and program planning.
  • PQAS Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
  • Clearances and trainings (given at time of hire)
