Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Land Acquisition Analyst . The right candidate will support the evaluation and acquisition of land opportunities for residential development. This role performs financial analysis, market research, due diligence coordination, and reporting activities to assist leadership in identifying and pursuing land investments that align with division growth objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential land acquisition opportunities and emerging growth areas Prepare financial models, land valuation analyses, development cost estimates, and acquisition proformas to support investment decisions Assist in evaluating acquisition opportunities by analyzing demographic trends, housing demand, pricing, absorption rates, and market conditions Coordinate due diligence activities, including engineering, environmental, utility, title, entitlement, and development reviews Track contract timelines, contingency periods, approvals, and critical transaction milestones Prepare acquisition packages, reports, presentations, and supporting documentation for management review and approval Maintain land acquisition databases, transaction records, maps, and pipeline reports Collaborate with internal departments, consultants, brokers, and landowners to facilitate acquisition activities Participate in site visits and field evaluations of prospective properties Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Ability to travel overnight Qualifications Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, Economics, Urban Planning, Engineering or equivalent years of experience required Zero - two yers of experience in real estate, land acquisition, finance, development, homebuilding, or related field preferred Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines Knowledge of real estate principles, financial analysis, and land development processes Strong computer skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new programs/systems quickly is essential Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form or via DRH applications Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision The noise level is generally moderate Preferred Qualifications Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling Ability to analyze complex information and communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
