Who you will work with
The Senior Transactions & Structuring Manager plays a critical role in maximizing the value of the Company's renewable energy and energy storage portfolio through investment analysis, transaction execution, project optimization, and capital structuring. The position is responsible for developing investment theses and business cases, managing project valuation and assumption books, leading investment approval processes, and structuring acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, financing, and repowering opportunities. Working across Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Finance, Tax, Regulatory Affairs, and external stakeholders, the Senior Transactions & Structuring Manager drives risk-adjusted value creation and supports strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, from late-stage development through investment approval and execution.
What you will do
In this role, you will be responsible for/support the team in the following activities:
Lead the evaluation, structuring, optimization, acquisition, divestiture, hybridization, and repowering of renewable energy and energy storage projects, ensuring alignment with the Company's strategic and financial objectives.
Own the development and maintenance of project investment assumptions, business cases, and valuation models, coordinating inputs from Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Tax, Regulatory Affairs, and other internal stakeholders.
Lead the preparation of investment proposals and supporting materials for internal approval processes, including Screening Committee, Investment Committee, Executive Management, Board of Directors, and other governance bodies.
Drive project optimization initiatives to maximize risk-adjusted returns throughout the development lifecycle, including evaluation of commercial structures, revenue strategies, tax incentives, financing alternatives, capital structures, and partnership opportunities.
Lead transaction structuring efforts for projects within the development pipeline and approved investment portfolio, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, tax equity structures, financing arrangements, and strategic partnerships.
Coordinate and manage project due diligence activities, negotiating commercial terms and transaction documents in collaboration with Legal, Finance, Tax, and external advisors.
Independently lead strategic initiatives supporting the Company's Business Plan, including portfolio optimization efforts, capital allocation analyses, market assessments, and value-creation opportunities.
Partner closely with Development, Engineering & Construction, Operations, Portfolio Optimization, Energy Management, and Finance teams to ensure investment assumptions remain current and accurately reflect project risks, opportunities, and market conditions.
Support and implement strategies related to tax credit qualification, monetization, and optimization, including PTC, ITC, transferability, tax equity, and other applicable incentive programs.
Ensure compliance with internal investment governance processes and provide guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the investment decision-making process.
Support the transition of approved projects into execution while maintaining accountability for key commercial assumptions, value drivers, and investment commitments established during the approval process.
Represent the Company in discussions with developers, investors, lenders, advisors, and strategic counterparties, supporting the negotiation and execution of complex commercial transactions.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Management, Finance, Engineering or similar
5+ years of proven experience in renewable energy project development, M&A, finance, structuring and investment delivery or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education
Strong knowledge of project development, transaction negotiations, finance and project investment valuation
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills;
Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change;
Highly developed business acumen;
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well with other disciplines
A valid driver's license operable in all 50 states and Canada;
Up to 50% of domestic travel and 10% of international travel.

The pay range for this position is $119,800 - $179,700 annually. The base pay actually offered will be based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, work experience, education, and internal equity.
