Oversees monthly financial and annual reports for the OPAS Board of Directors and the Executive Director of Campus & Community Enrichment. Advises the OPAS Board President and the President of OPAS Encore. Assures OPAS' recognition in the performing arts industry by developing and nurturing relationships with agents and producers. Essential Duties Oversight Assures that programs and activities produced in the name of OPAS contribute to the mission of the University and reflect positively on its image Serves as an educator for certain specific skills in areas related to program production, student development, and organizational effectiveness Primary liaison and advisor to the OPAS Encore Board of Directors, to the Rudder Theatre Complex staff relative to OPAS programs Supervision Supervises Assistant Director, Operations Manager, Event & Operations Coordinator Responsible for selection, training, and evaluation of performance of personnel under his/her supervision Assists in overall staff selection and training as required Administration Performs administrative duties such as preparing annual reports and analysis and participating in administrative decision-making processes Works closely with the Academic Accounting & Business office to assure timely payment of bills, proper issuance of fiscal receipts, daily deposit of collected monies Reviews all contracts and provides guidance to staff to make necessary revisions Oversees maintenance of appropriate records and files Develops and nurtures relationships with OPAS contributors, subscribers, and former students Builds and maintains relationships with the entertainment industry Serves as treasurer of the OPAS Board of Directors, oversees the preparation of the annual budget and monitors fiscal activities of OPAS student committee Responsible for the financial success of OPAS based on marketing research, selection of programs, scaling of house, tickets sold, contributions, sponsorships, advertising sales, and other factors Professional Development Participates in developmental opportunities that are designed to increase personal and professional skills as related to this position Assures that TAMU is represented in local, regional, national, and international arts organizations through active involvement in those organizations What You Need to
