Lafayette County is looking for an EMS Director to join our EMS Department located in Darlington, WI. This is a regular full-time, exempt position with starting pay range of $34.76 - 36.74 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, and full benefit package eligibility, including state retirement (pension). Position Purpose and Summary:
The Director is ultimately responsible for the oversight and management of organizational responsibilities involving all aspects of the Ambulance Service. This job is an upper-level management position and includes duties which are administrative and supervisory in nature.
Responsibilities include:
finance, human resources, quality assurance, public relations, billing, training center, managing staff and supervising all aspects of ambulance service operations. Education/Licensure/Certification Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Wisconsin Paramedic licensure. Valid ACLS and PALS certification required. Valid Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required Valid Driver's License. Must meet vehicle insurance company requirements. Must be at least 21 years old to operate an emergency vehicle.
Other Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic in a 911 setting. 2 or more years of experience managing and leading a team. Residency within 30 minutes of the Lafayette County EMS station is required throughout employment.
