Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marina Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of marine parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our marina services. Your expertise will drive efficient supply chain processes, foster strong supplier relationships, and deliver exceptional customer service to boat owners, technicians, and staff. We are a smaller fast paced marina looking for a motivated person to order parts as needed and to sell over the counter. Experience with Lightspeed is a plus. Weekends are going to be mandatory on rotation Duties Manage the entire inventory lifecycle of marine parts, including procurement, storage, and distribution, utilizing advanced ERP systems and order management software. Develop and execute demand planning strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory through accurate forecasting. Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partners to negotiate pricing, lead times, and sourcing agreements that benefit the marina. Oversee warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, equipment repair, and forklift handling to ensure safety and efficiency. Implement inventory control procedures using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to track parts usage, maintenance schedules, and equipment repairs. Coordinate with automotive diagnostics, automotive service teams, and dealership experience staff to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs and maintenance. Lead procurement management efforts by sourcing quality parts at competitive prices while adhering to industry standards such as AS400 or ERP systems for order processing. Maintain meticulous data entry records for all transactions related to inventory management, purchasing, and logistics activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to warehouse experience, HVAC systems, shipping & receiving protocols, and equipment repair standards. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting boat owners and technicians with part inquiries, order status updates, and technical support. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management within the marine industry or related fields such as automotive repair or manufacturing. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems like ERP or AS400 platforms; familiarity with order management systems is essential. Demonstrated ability in supplier negotiation, sourcing strategies, procurement management, and demand planning. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, or equipment repair is highly desirable. Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures; forklift certification is preferred. Familiarity with CMMS tools for maintenance tracking; experience with logistics or shipping & receiving operations is advantageous. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and external partners. Dealership experience or OEM familiarity will be considered a plus; understanding of automotive service standards is beneficial.
