Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will drive the success of our transportation management system and fleet operations, making a tangible impact every day. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule pickups, deliveries, and dispatching of freight using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine. Utilize GPS and GIS technology to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Enter accurate data into systems like Excel, McLeod and other transportation management platforms to track shipments, update statuses, and maintain records. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with logistics standards and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) requirements. Manage fleet operations by coordinating maintenance schedules, tracking vehicle usage, and supporting fleet management activities. Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall dispatching workflows. Requirements Proven experience with transportation planning, logistics coordination, or dispatching roles. Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for interacting with drivers, clients, and team members. Knowledge of freight shipping & receiving procedures along with fleet management practices. Ability to multitask effectively using multi-line phone systems while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
