Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Tow Truck Dispatcher to coordinate towing and roadside assistance operations throughout Santa Clarita and Castaic. This position serves as the central point of communication between customers, drivers, law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, property managers and roadside assistance providers. The successful candidate will ensure efficient dispatching, accurate documentation, timely reporting, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls from customers, law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, roadside assistance providers, security companies, and property managers.
- Dispatch drivers efficiently and accurately based on location, availability and service requirements.
- Monitor active service calls and provide updates to customers and drivers.
- Process and document impound and ensure all required information is reported within mandated timeframes.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, dispatches, completed services and related documentation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Coordinate closely with drivers to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Follow company procedures for call handling, documentation, and service completion.
- Maintain professionalism and sound judgement during high-volume and high-pressure situations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Fluent in English; Spanish language skills preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple phone calls and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively during emergency situations.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Professional demeanor in demanding work environments.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous dispatching experience in towing, transportation, trucking, emergency services, or roadside assistance.
- Bilingual communication skills.
- Experience with TowBook software
- Familiarity with Santa Clarita and Castaic roadways and surrounding areas.
Important Expectations:
Many service calls involve impounds, and callers may be frustrated or upset regarding their vehicles.
Dispatchers must be able to:
- Remain calm, respectful, and professional during difficult conversations.
- Use effective de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.
- Clearly explain company policies and procedures.
