Job Description

We are looking for a Dispatcher to support facility maintenance operations for an organization in Long Beach, California. This contract position with permanent potential plays a central role in coordinating service activity, managing technician and vendor schedules, and helping ensure maintenance issues are addressed quickly and professionally. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where clear communication and accurate records are essential to daily operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily assignments for maintenance technicians, outside service providers, equipment, and related support resources to address site needs efficiently.
  • Build and maintain recurring maintenance calendars, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual service schedules.
  • Monitor open service requests, repair work, upgrades, and other maintenance-related issues to help drive timely resolution and closure.
  • Keep service documentation, equipment histories, and site maintenance records accurate, current, and audit-ready.
  • Review service activity for priority and response timing to help ensure urgent issues are handled appropriately.
  • Arrange parts orders and support the completion of warranty claims, invoicing, and core return processes as needed.
  • Assist with operational reporting, paperwork processing, and administrative records such as invoices, timesheets, inspection documents, and proposals.
  • Support technician readiness by helping coordinate certification scheduling and vehicle inventory audit activities.
  • Gather vendor quotes and proposals to assist with cost comparisons and repair-versus-replacement decisions.
  • Track performance data and service metrics for both internal technicians and external vendors to support operational decision-making.
