Job Description

Join Marin Humane as a Field Services Dispatcher Be the calm voice behind the mission. Marin Humane is seeking a Field Services Dispatcher to serve as the critical communication link between the public, Animal Services Officers, and partner agencies. Every call matters. Every response makes a difference. Why This Role Matters As a Field Services Dispatcher, you'll be at the center of emergency and non-emergency animal service operations—receiving calls, prioritizing responses, coordinating field activities, and helping ensure the safety of both people and animals throughout Marin County. You'll play a vital role in supporting officers in the field while providing compassionate, professional service to community members who may be experiencing stressful situations. What You'll Do Receive and prioritize calls for service Dispatch Animal Services Officers and coordinate field responses Monitor radio communications and officer safety Provide real-time updates and resource coordination Work closely with law enforcement, fire departments, and other public safety agencies Document incidents and maintain accurate records Support emergency and disaster response operations Help educate the public and provide information about Marin Humane services
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Stays calm under pressure Has exceptional communication and customer service skills Can effectively multitask and prioritize competing demands Enjoys problem-solving and critical thinking Works well independently and as part of a team Is compassionate toward both animals and people Has experience in dispatching, public safety, call centers, or other high-volume customer service environments

Field Services Dispatcher Schedule:
Full-Time, 40 hours/week, including weekends
Pay Range:
$24.78-$27.52 per hour
DOE Additional Pay:
