Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Dispatcher to support daily transportation operations in Santa Clara, California. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can keep schedules on track, communicate clearly with drivers and customers, and respond quickly when priorities shift. The person in this role will help coordinate the movement of trucks, materials, and equipment while maintaining accurate records and strong service levels. Success in this position requires sound judgment, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily truck and driver assignments to ensure deliveries are completed according to customer timelines.
  • Arrange transportation for materials, equipment, and heavy machinery while balancing available resources effectively.
  • Track active deliveries and respond promptly to delays, route issues, and changing schedules to minimize disruption.
  • Maintain organized dispatch documentation, including delivery updates, confirmations, driver activity records, and related operational data.
  • Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal teams to provide status updates and resolve service concerns professionally.
  • Support compliance with company procedures, safety expectations, and transportation regulations throughout dispatch operations.
  • Prepare operational reports and performance summaries to help monitor dispatch activity and efficiency.
  • Learn and use the company's dispatch platform, including Axon, with training provided as part of onboarding.
