As we continue to grow and expand our presence, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Routing Dispatcher to join our team to assist with the efficient coordination of our equipment deliveries.Job Description:
The Routing Dispatcher is responsible for planning and coordinating the daily transportation and delivery of heavy equipment to job sites. This role ensures that all deliveries are made on time, routes are optimized for efficiency, and equipment is handled with the highest safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize daily routes for the delivery of heavy equipment to ensure timely arrival at job sites. Coordinate with the operations team to schedule equipment deliveries, pickups, and maintenance services. Serve as the main point of contact between drivers, customers, and the operations team, providing clear and concise instructions. Address and resolve any issues that arise during transport, including traffic delays, equipment malfunctions, or changes in customer needs. Ensure all transportation activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, including proper load securing and weight distribution. Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including delivery times, and any incidents reported. Provide excellent customer service by keeping clients informed of delivery schedules and addressing any concerns promptly. Work closely with other departments, including sales, service, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional experience and/or education in logistics or transportation is a plus. Proven experience as a dispatcher, preferably in a heavy equipment or transportation environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in heavy equipment transport. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, as needed.Why You'll Love Working Here:
