Job Description
Overview California Farmer's Transportation is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Agricultural Freight Coordinator to support the movement of fresh produce and farm goods across regional and national routes. In this role, you will coordinate shipments between farms, distribution centers, and customers, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining product quality. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced logistics environment connected to the agricultural industry. Responsibilities Coordinate transportation of agricultural products including produce, crops, and farm supplies Schedule and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries based on harvest timelines Communicate with farmers, warehouses, drivers, and brokers to ensure smooth operations Monitor shipment status and address delays to prevent spoilage or disruptions Maintain accurate records of loads, delivery schedules, and transportation data Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards to optimize routes Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and transportation standards Assist with documentation, invoicing, and freight tracking Requirements Experience in logistics, dispatching, or transportation coordination preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Basic knowledge of supply chain operations and freight handling Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Comfortable working with data entry and logistics software Preferred Qualifications Experience in agricultural logistics or food distribution Knowledge of refrigerated (reefer) freight operations Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance standards Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Why Join California Farmer's Transportation?
