911 Dispatcher

• Job Summary
• We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls to appropriate personnel.
• Responsibilities
• Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls
• Prioritize calls according to urgency and type of service needed
• Determine the appropriate response to each call
• Dispatch personnel to designated locations
• Monitor and track the status of ongoing calls
• Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers, when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of all calls and dispatches
• Qualifications
• Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED
• Proficient in phone triage and etiquette
• Ability to type quickly and accurately
• Strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures is a plus
• Experience in dispatching or related field preferred
• Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial
• Ability to transcribe information accurately
• Proficient in data entry
• Certification in dispatching or related field is advantageous All applicants must pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
