About the role:
Field Service Dispatcher The Field Service Dispatcher fully owns technician scheduling, routing, and daily coordination of field service activities. This role ensures efficient deployment of field resources, timely customer updates, and accurate real-time work order tracking. The Dispatcher serves as the operational hub between customers, technicians, and leadership. What you'll do: Field Service Dispatcher Scheduling & Dispatch Ownership Coordinate and dispatch field service technicians based on customer needs, technician availability, skill set, and geographic efficiency. Maintain the daily dispatch schedule and adjust assignments in real time to minimize downtime. Prioritize incoming service requests to meet response time expectations and operational demands. Real-Time Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and technicians regarding arrival times, schedule changes, emergency calls, and field updates. Communicate promptly when delays, reroutes, or urgent changes occur. Operational Tracking & Documentation Monitor work order status throughout the day and ensure technicians have accurate job details. Track technician availability, territory coverage, and schedule changes. Maintain accurate dispatch records and prepare operational reports, including productivity, response times, and dispatch activity. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with the Field Service Repair Manager on technician capacity, performance trends, and operational challenges. Provide the Service Operations Administrative Assistant with accurate work order status updates to support timely closure and warranty processing.
Qualifications:
Field Service Dispatcher Education and Experience:
2-4 years of experience in dispatching, field service coordination, scheduling, or related operational roles preferred.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong sense of urgency with a commitment to customer service and responsiveness. Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in dispatch, scheduling, and service management systems.
