Job Description

Full Job Description We are seeking an Intermodal Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our intermodal transportation services. Your responsibilities will include the following: Communicate with customers, potential customers, and owner-operators to coordinate and schedule deliveries. Plan and execute customer deliveries, optimizing routes and schedules for efficiency. Monitor the location of the fleet using tracking systems or by contacting drivers for check calls to ensure timely and safe deliveries. Proactively communicate with customers about any potential service failures and work to create action plans to prevent future issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring that all information is executed correctly and delivered on time. Schedule and sequence deliveries, assign routes, vehicles, and drivers, and review relevant information such as departure times, destinations, product details, and expected return times. Manage the Daily Delivery Schedule Board, providing drivers with delivery information and arranging their deliveries accordingly.
