Barr-Nunn Transportation LLC, a premier truckload carrier in business for over 43 years, is currently hiring for 1 Weekend Dispatch to join our team in Granger, IA. The Weekend Dispatch position will be assisting drivers with loads or other questions/concerns, as well as assist with potential breakdowns and minor accidents. They will communicate necessary information to other departments and/or customers. See full list of responsibilities below. We are looking for candidates that have a strong sense of initiative, solid communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. They should be able to "think on their feet" and have a knack for problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have experience working in customer service and will be comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced office setting. They should also be comfortable working on a computer and navigating between several systems/programs at one time.

PM Education and Experience:

High school diploma Some college preferred Customer service experience required 1-2 years in transportation highly preferred

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Field incoming calls from drivers and relay information as may be required to include load requirements to drivers. If these calls require communication with other work areas, then ensure this communication occurs.
• Track loads as may be requested by day shift personnel
• Communicate to customers as may be required to inform them of changes in ETA's, etc.
• Coordinate on road breakdowns
• Assist drivers with HazMat, O, S & D, and minor accidents
