Position:
Stepdeck /
Flatbed Dispatcher Location:
Burr Ridge, IL — In-office position
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch and manage Stepdeck and Flatbed trucks Search, negotiate, and book profitable loads Communicate with brokers, shippers, receivers, and drivers Build and maintain strong broker relationships Plan routes and help drivers stay productive Monitor load progress from pickup to delivery Handle rate confirmations, load details, appointments, and updates Solve daily issues related to loads, delays, routing, and communication Keep drivers loaded and moving consistently Maintain professional communication with the team
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a dispatcher Experience with Stepdeck and/or Flatbed is required Ability to handle 5+ trucks Strong broker connections are highly preferred Existing driver connections are a big plus Good negotiation and communication skills Knowledge of load boards and trucking operations Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions Responsible, organized, and goal-oriented attitude
