Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation management systems to optimize supply chain operations. We are looking for a sales & dispatcher person that has minimum 1 year of experience Responsibilities Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of shipments. Utilize transportation management systems to track freight movements and monitor delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with drivers, providing them with necessary information and support throughout their routes. Perform data entry tasks related to shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in documentation. Analyze shipment data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency. Maintain records of all dispatched loads and ensure compliance with company policies. Handle multi-line phone systems to address inquiries from clients and drivers promptly. Collaborate with supply chain partners, including 3PL providers, to streamline logistics processes. Skills Proficiency in transportation management systems such as AS400 or SyteLine. Strong understanding of supply chain logistics and freight operations. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping. Strong analytical skills for evaluating shipment performance and identifying areas for improvement. Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures is preferred.
