Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining efficient communication between drivers and clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Duties Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers to optimize efficiency. Monitor the status of shipments and provide updates to clients as needed. Utilize transportation management systems to track fleet movements and manage logistics. Analyze data related to shipping and receiving to improve operational processes. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs and shipment details. Communicate effectively with drivers via phone or radio, ensuring clear instructions are provided. Collaborate with supply chain teams to address any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the dispatch process. Experience Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management is preferred. Familiarity with transportation management systems is a plus. Strong understanding of fleet management principles and practices. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for effective interaction with drivers and clients. Ability to analyze logistical data and make informed decisions quickly. Prior experience in shipping and receiving operations is beneficial. A background in supply chain management will be considered an advantage.
